Eyelid Surgery / BlepharoplastyProblem:
Solution: Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove fat, usually along with excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. This procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis under a local or general anesthesia. Incisions are made along the natural lines of your eyelids, in the creases of the upper lids or just below the lashes on the lower lids. The skin is separated from the underlying fatty tissue and muscle. Excess fat is removed and sagging skin and muscle is also often removed. The incisions are closed with very fine sutures. A transconjunctival blepharoplasty is performed if there is a pocket of fat beneath the lower eyelids but no skin needs to be removed. The incisions are made inside the lower eyelid leaving no visible scar. This is usually for younger patients with thicker, more elastic skin. Blepharoplasty can be done alone, or in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures such as a face lift or a brow lift. Result:
