A breast lift or “mastopexy” is a surgical procedure that raises the breasts and repositions, and many times reduces, the size of the areolas. There are many variations in breast lift technique. Breast lift surgery is a required procedure during breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) or may include the insertion of breast implants (breast augmentation) if breast volume is to be restored.
