Facial
Implants
Problem:
- Small chin
- Weak jaw line
- Shallow cheeks
- Thin lips
- Lack of facial contour
Solution:
Facial
implants are specially formed materials compatible with human bone and
tissues. They are designed for safe, long-term placement to enhance or
augment the physical structure of the face.
Under
a
general anesthesia, facial implants are placed surgically, through
incisions to create a supporting pocket beneath the skin and soft
tissues. Surrounding muscle and tissue hold the implant in place. These
procedures may be performed alone or as a complement to other facial
contouring procedures. Kagan Plastic Surgery can recommend the
appropriate techniques to create a structural balance and more
attractive appearance to your face with facial implants. VeraFil™ is
the latest, most effective advancement
in lip augmentation but also successfully used on the nasolabial folds.
It is a thin-walled, dual layer, saline filled implant with an
adjustable fill volume and a self-sealing fill valve. The amount of
saline solution in the implant is tailored to the patient during the
implantation procedure. The implant is permanent, does not impede
movement and does not cause allergic reactions.
