Problem:
Solution: A facelift or “rhytidectomy” is a restorative, surgical procedure to improve the visible signs of aging in the face and neck. These signs can include a loss of skin elasticity and firmness, sagging tissue and wrinkles. The loss of youthful contours in the midface, jaw and neckline can be caused by a variety of factors including heredity, gravity, environmental conditions and stress. A facelift can correct sagging facial skin and muscles, remove excess fat and restore firmness to create a more youthful, rested and vibrant appearance. A facelift is a highly individualized procedure. Your consultation with Dr. Kagan will determine the appropriate technique or combination of procedures depending on your individual skin, muscle tone, bone structure and specific conditions that contribute to your aging appearance. Rejuvenation procedures typically performed in conjunction with a facelift are a brow lift and eyelid surgery. Other enhancement procedures can include: facial implants or soft tissue augmentation (injectable dermal fillers) to recontour the facial structure and resurfacing techniques to improve tone and texture of facial skin . Wrinkle reduction injections (Botox®) may also be recommended. Result:
