What can breast reduction surgery do for me?

Breast reduction surgery is available to those who would like to decrease the size and weight of their breasts. Excess breast tissue, fat and skin are removed creating a smaller, lighter breast while providing you with a more youthful shape as well. This procedure can provide permanent relief from many of the symptoms that women with disproportionately large breasts experience, making them more comfortable, both physically and emotionally.

What is liposuction?

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that can improve body contour by removing fat from localized areas in the body, such as the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. This procedure is not an alternative to diet and exercise and cannot treat general obesity. However, it is a viable option for those who wish to slim down in areas that aren’t affected by other weight-loss methods.

Buttock Lift

Solution:

Our skin is comprised of collagen (a support protein), elastin (keeps skin firm) and hyaluronic acid (helps to trap water and add fullness and volume). Dermal fillers are used to reduce or eliminate wrinkles, raise scar depressions, enhance lips and replace soft-tissue volume loss. Very small amounts are injected into the skin with an ultrafine needle resulting in minimal discomfort and immediate results. There are a number of different types of fillers on the market today. It mimics the effects of natural hyaluronic acid and adds volume to your skin. Hylaform® is considered to be longer lasting than collagen with results lasting for several months.

Juvaderm™

Juvederm™ is a smooth gel filler by the creators of Botox® cosmetic. Recently approved by the FDA, Juvederm™ is the latest in hyaluronic acid cosmetic filler technology. It is biosynthetic, biocompatible and of non-animal origin thereby reducing the chance of allergic reaction. Juvederm’s special formulation process makes it smoother than some of the other popular gel fillers. Juvederm™ is gradually absorbed naturally into the body with results lasting 4 to 6 months or longer.

Perlane®

Perlane® is an FDA-approved injectable cosmetic filler. It is made from non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) gel particles. Because Perlane® has a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid than some other injectable fillers it is used to reduce the visibility of larger wrinkles and folds in the skin as well as for lip augmentation. Perlane® is biodegradable. Results can last up to 6 months.

Radiesse®

Radiesse® is an FDA-approved dermal filler that restores a natural, youthful look and lasts longer than most fillers. Radiesse® is made of unique calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin. These microspheres form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Radiesse® has been clinically tested for reliability, breaks down naturally and is safely absorbed in the body. Radiesse® results can last for 1 to 3 years.

Restylane®

Approved by the FDA for cosmetic use, Restylane® is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Restylane® is a clear gel made of non-animal based hyaluronic acid. It is biodegradable and fully biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid. Restylane® is an alternative to collagen injections and is fast becoming the most popular injectible dermal filler. Restylane® results can last for 4 to 5 months.

Sculptra™

Sculptra™ is FDA-approved injectable poly-L-lactic acid. Essentially this is a synthetic polymer but is comprised of nontoxic natural monomers (lactic acid) which are naturally occurring in the body. Poly-L-lactic acid degrades more slowly than more common biodegradable fillers such as collagen or hyaluronic acid. Sculptra™ is most often used to fill deep depressions in the skin. The average durability of Sculptra™ is 1 to 2 years.

Zyderm®

Collagen is the body’s major structural protein and makes up about 75% of our skin. Collagen is the natural protein that keeps the skin smooth. Zyderm® is the oldest dermal filler in existence and was the first injectable filling material to be approved by the FDA. Zyderm1®, Zyderm2® and Zyplast® are different combinations of cow-derived collagen (or bovine collagen). The body naturally absorbs these materials and results will last several months. Like all animal-based fillers, allergy tests are required to determine hypersensitivity.
